For low-level decks, we fabricate our own custom welded hot-dip galvanised steel frames.

Unlike traditional timber framing, our steel frames can be custom built to suit almost any application, allowing us to achieve finished deck heights from as little as 45mm, including the decking boards.

This makes steel the ideal solution where there is limited clearance beneath doors, existing slabs or outdoor entertaining areas.

Cold winters, heavy frosts and regular morning dew can leave the underside of decks damp for extended periods.

While treated pine performs well when installed correctly with adequate ventilation and clearance from the ground, these conditions aren't always possible on low-level decks.

Steel doesn't absorb moisture, won't rot, twist or shrink, and isn't a food source for termites, making it an excellent long-term solution for challenging installations.
